ARC has been locally owned and operated since May 1994 providing innovative automation, security and electrical solutions for our customer base throughout the Waikato, Coromandel, Auckland and Bay of Plenty areas.

In this time we have established ourselves as experienced ‘system integrators’ at all levels of technology the company specialises in. ARC endeavours to continue to be industry leaders in providing inventive security, audio visual, automation and electrical solutions.


colinARC has owned and operated by Colin and Antoinette Young since April 2008. Having lived in the Waikato all their lives, principally in Cambridge and Hamilton, ARC is privy to a wealth of local knowledge. Colin and Antoinette have enjoyed over 40 years of marriage; have two adult children and two grandchildren.

Colin, the director of the company, has over thirty-five years of business leadership experience both in the technology industry and commercial property investment. This has enabled him to quickly understand his client’s needs and provide them with creative customised solution, whether for enhancing office security measures or for installing home or business automation systems. This industry and business experience has helped him bring some of the best multi-skilled technicians in NZ into the ARC Family.

Colin endeavours to provide strong business and technical leadership for the company.  More particularly, he provides customer and professional liaison, company governance and enhanced services including design, project management, and system appraisal and upgrading recommendations.

Management Team

Jason – Operations Manager

jasonJason’s key role is to manage the installation and maintenance services that the company provides. He is also closely involved in designing and preparing proposals/quotations for a wide range of clients. His qualifications include NZCE in Electronic & Computers, NZ Registered Electrician (and Electrical Supply Technician) and an Auto CAD & LT Certificate.

Jason has considerable experience in the following systems: security alarm and access control, audio visual, CCTV, automatic gates and doors, and intercoms. He is also a fully trained C-Bus Control and Management System technician and is a Wiser Home Control (C-Bus) “Approved Installer”.  And more recently, Jason manages our range of Crestron automation products and services.


Michael – Financial Operations Manager
Michael joined us in April 2019 and manages the accounting functions of the Company. He originally trained as a Fitter & Turner and has subsequently worked for many years in both Health and General Insurance. He holds a Bachelor of Theology and, prior to beginning with us, he served for 12 years as the pastor of a large church. Michael enjoys working with numbers and also has a keen interest in all things IT.



Rosemary – Administration Manager

Rosemary joined us in November 2013 and manages the administrative functions of the Company with the support of our Admin Co-ordinator and Receptionist. Rosemary earned her Bachelor of Science (Biology) at University of Waikato and a Diploma of Library and Information Systems at Victoria University of Wellington.

Rosemary is well-known for being service orientated. She is an efficient practical person, with a friendly manner and a positive hardworking attitude. She is articulate, enthusiastic and is naturally keen to help.


Greg – Project Manager

Greg joined us in September 2017.  His career spans over 35 years in the Electronics / Computer and Building Technologies industries. Starting out with NZCE Computer Technology & Electro-technology to Level 4 and Electronics to Level 5.  He has participated in many training courses over the years to keep up with the latest developments in technology. Greg was NZ’s No. 1 C-Bus Trainer.  He has built up an extensive knowledge and experience base through working on a range of different systems including Audio Video, HVAC, Security, Access Control, CCTV, Commercial Lighting, Energy Management and Residential and Commercial Integrated Automation Systems using various products such as C-Bus, Crestron and DALI. Greg is also an “Approved Installer” of the C-Bus automation systems.


Sam – Project Manager

Sam joined us in May 2018.  He comes with a background in research and development.  Sam’s main role is to schedule the work load of the Technicians and ensure they are equipped with all they need to do the job right and to the highest standard.

Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology specializing in Mechatronics at MIT, he has a further 7 years’ experience across a broad range of industries. He also holds a Solid Works essentials certificate.

For your peace of mind we hold our staff to a high level of personal integrity, and ensure they maintain their ‘Private Security Personnel Badge’ and ‘Certificate of Approval’, issued by the Ministry of Justice in conjunction with the NZ Police.
