The service light will be “on” if the security system requires service. If the service light is “on”, press the [→] or [*] key followed by the [2] key to determine the service condition. One or more zone lights will illuminate indicating what service(s) is required. Below is a listing of what each light means in a service condition.
LIGHT
SYSTEM FAULT - Press the [1] key.

The zone light(s) that is illuminated corresponds to the system fault(s) below:

To exit the Service Light Mode - press the [#] key.

LCD Programmable-Message Keypad

• Press [✱] [2] to view a trouble condition.
• The trouble light will flash and the LCD will display the first trouble condition present.
• Use the arrow keys to scroll through all trouble conditions present.

NOTE: When additional information is available for a specific trouble condition a [✱] will appear on the display.

When viewing the memory event buffer at the keypad by pressing the “MEMORY” button, the first thing that will always be displayed is the “SYSTEM” LED. If the system LED turns on but no other Zone LED’s are on at the same time, this means that there are no current system alarms.

If a zone LED or LED’s are on then this indicates system alarms that have not yet cleared. The zone LED’s 1-8 are pre-defined as to what system alarm they will display. These system alarm indications are shown in the table below. Following the display of current system alarms the panel will then sequence through the 127 historical memory events starting at the most recent event. The second table shows the alarm events that can be displayed in memory mode and what indicators are used to show them.

If the yellow status light is flashing and no zone lights are flashing the alarm condition may have been caused by a system fault, press [8] [9] then [#] on your keypad. The following table indicates the type of alarm condition that has occurred.

Zone Light No. - Fault Condition
1 - Alarm caused by a nitewatch, two key, medical or fire panic
2 - The battery has discharged or is faulty
3 - Mains power to the alarm has failed
4 - A dialler communications error has occurred
5 - Phone line is faulty or is disconnected
6 - Siren output or auxiliary power supply overloaded or open circuit

TROUBLE DISPLAY
When a trouble condition occurs, the [TBL] button or [TRBL] indicator will illuminate on the LED keypads or “Trouble” will appear on the LCD keypad’s display.
Press the [TBL] or [TRBL] button to switch to the Trouble Display. The [TBL] button or [TRBL] indicator will flash and lights corresponding to an existing trouble condition will illuminate on the LED keypads or the appropriate trouble message will appear on the LCD keypad display. Press the [CLEAR] button to exit the Trouble Display.
When a trouble condition has occurred, press the [TBL] or [TRBL] button to stop the “beeping”.

[3] Power Failure Upon power failure, the AC LED on all keypads will turn off.
[4] Bell or PGM2 Disconnected

[8] Timer Loss - Press the [8] key followed by the current time using the 24-hour clock (i.e. 8:30PM =20:30).

[FORCE] or [16] Keypad Fault
[BYP] OR [12] Module Loss

When any of these fault conditions occur the FAULT indicator will begin to flash and the keypad will beep once every minute. Hold down button 5 for two seconds until two beeps are heard. The STAY and AWAY indicators will begin to flash in unison with the FAULT indicator.

One or more zone indicators (1-8) will illuminate to indicate the current fault(s). Refer to the following table below.

Will having my alarm monitored affect my phone and internet?
Normally not. Once our technician's have made the necessary connections and installation of a VDSL broadband filter, you won't notice any change.

How do I stop my alarm from interfering with my internet?
If you've had ADSL broadband connected after you got your alarm installed, you may find that your alarm causes your internet to drop-out sometimes. This is because it's not wired correctly. Please contact us and arrange for one of our security technicians to make a maintenance visit.

How do I arm/disarm my alarm system?
Enter your user code to “arm” and then enter your user code to “disarm”.

What is a user code?
A user code is an individual PIN (personal identification number) allocated to the alarm system. This is primarily used to arm and disarm the alarm system. Certain user codes can be of a higher importance, thus the alarm system allows certain user codes to have the ability to carry other system procedures i.e. changing codes, omitting zones, arming different areas. Most systems offer the facility to program more than one user code.

How do I change my user code?
In the event that you need to change your user code or add new codes to your system all you need to do is phone us and if you are one of our existing customers then we should be able to dial into your alarm system remotely, via our security computer, and make the required changes for you. Please be aware that in most circumstances a small fee will apply. Most of the time you should be able to make these changes yourself if you have the correct user manual. If you are not an existing customer we are still able to help you however this does mean that we will have to make a visit to your premises in order make the required changes.

Why does the alarm keypad beep for no apparent reason?
Seemingly random beeping and/or flashing lights coming from the keypad usually indicates that there is a problem with your alarm system. Please call us to arrange for one of our security technicians to make a maintenance visit.

Sometimes the alarm goes off when it is unset. Why is this happening?
There is a definite malfunction with your alarm system. Alarms should only be sounding when the system is armed, and there has been an activation from one of the detectors being triggered. Please contact us to arrange for one of our security technicians to make a maintenance visit.
